Holiday Table Ideas

I hope these tips inspire you to have a fun and affordable holiday entertaining season.

Here are "A Few of my Favorite Things"

Décor Tips
1. Use everyday items to make a great party table for buffet or sit down dinner. Table “cloth” or covering: brown Kraft paper "tied" with string. We fashioned it to look like a present. This makes for great clean up too!

2.Create a centerpiece of edible goodies. We have created a dipping station in this red Jonathan Adler hexagon tray filled with pita chips made from holiday cookie cutters. Partner sweet cocktails with savory hors d'oeurves such as these bite site spaghetti and meatballs on a skewer and gorgeres wrapped in bacon.

3. Keep your bar simple with a few go-to signature cocktails. I partnered with Sauza to share a few of my favorite specialty cocktails for soirees this season.

Sauza Sparkling Apple Margarita
Ingredients:
2 parts tequila
1 part agave
1 lime
1/2 lemon
1 glass of sparkling apple juice
Directions:
Pour sparkling apple juice in a glass over ice to chill it. Mix tequila, agave and squeezed lime and lemon into a cocktail shaker over ice. Shake. Pour into new tall, skinny, 8 oz glass top off remaining glass with chilled sparking apple juice. Makes one glass. Rim with salt or sugar.

For a festive red holiday color you can also serve a Sauza pomegranate margarita rimmed with a chili pepper salt.

4. Add a conversation sparker to desserts this season with desserts you can drink.. such as a Sauza mini cocoa station.

Sauza Butterscotch White Cocoa
Ingredients:
1/2 part Sauza Silver Tequila
1/4 part Butterscotch schnapps
1 package of white cocoa mix or 1/2 a bar of white chocolate
6 oz of whole milk
Whipped cream
Grated cinnamon
Directions:
Use 1 package of white cocoa or melt half a bar of white chocolate into a pan filled with 6 oz of whole milk. Wisk mixture until frothy, just before a boil. (steam will start to rise from inside pan). Use a jigger to measure your next ingredients. In espresso cups pour 1/2 a small jigger of Sauza and 1/4 a small jigger of butterscotch schnapps each glass. Use a funnel and fill remaining with steaming white cocoa. Top with your choice of grated cinnamon, grated dark chocolate or whipped cream. Serves 6.
